Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, has been a leading institution in the field of health sciences, known for its commitment to providing high-quality education and research opportunities. The University has been accredited (3rd Cycle) by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.64 on a four-point scale at ‘A++’ grade and is an 9001: 2015, ISO 14001:2015 and Green Education Campus certified University. Under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, conducted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune has achieved the rank 3rd in Dental Category and 46th in the University Category in India. All the four hospitals of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, and Homoeopathy) have been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). The Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory and all Medical Laboratories have been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The ‘Regenerative Medicine Laboratory’ is Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certified and the ‘Sudhatatva Pharmacy’ of Ayurveda College is Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Approved and GMP Certified.
Access to quality education is a fundamental right of every individual. The best investment a country can make to develop in all spheres of life is education. Through education, people of all ages can overcome poverty and take full advantage of their right to full participation in society. Gaining an education opens doors to greater freedom and opportunities. In order to address the various obstacles to universal education, the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Ensuring Inclusive, Equitable, and Quality Education and the Promotion of Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All) sets goals to increase the number of scholarships awarded to students in developing countries and construct gender-sensitive and disability-inclusive educational facilities.
